Does IVF lead to Twins and Multiple Births?

A lot of people believe that there is a high risk of multiple pregnancy by conceiving through the procedure of IVF which is not quite true. There is a slight chance of multiple births when multiple embryos are put back into the woman’s womb in order to increase the probability of pregnancy but the procedure of IVF in itself does not necessarily lead to multiple pregnancy.
