Reproductive Techniques

Your journey to parenthood deserves thoughtful care—not assumptions.

At Maya IVF Clinic, we understand that the path to parenthood can be filled with challenges and emotions. Every couple's fertility journey is unique, and we believe their treatment should reflect that uniqueness. While many may assume that IVF is the only solution for infertility, we feel it should be considered as a last resort, not the first option. That’s why we take a personalized, cause-based approach to treatment—starting with the simplest, least invasive options and only progressing to advanced techniques when absolutely necessary.

Step-by-Step Fertility Care at Maya IVF Clinic:

  1. Lifestyle Modification & Supplements
Many fertility issues arise not from disease, but from modern lifestyles—stress, irregular schedules, unhealthy eating, or lack of physical activity. If we find that your fertility challenges are linked to lifestyle factors, we start by guiding you through healthy lifestyle changes, and may recommend fertility-enhancing supplements. For many couples, these adjustments alone can lead to natural conception, particularly when no significant medical issues are present.
  2. Ovulation Induction & Natural Timed Intercourse
If conception doesn’t occur, we progress to ovulation induction—stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs with the help of mild medication. Through transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) and follicular monitoring, we precisely track your cycle and recommend timed intercourse during your most fertile window. This natural method significantly boosts your chances of getting pregnant.
  3. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
When sperm have difficulty reaching the egg naturally, IUI offers a gentle next step. In this process, the semen sample is washed and prepared in our lab to concentrate the healthiest sperm. Using a soft catheter, the sperm is directly introduced into the uterus at the time of ovulation. This reduces the distance sperm must travel and enhances the chance of fertilization.
*Note: While success rates for IUI per cycle are modest, we typically recommend 3 to 4 cycles. It's important to keep in mind that age is a significant factor—outcomes are generally better for younger women, while later attempts may present additional challenges.*
  4. IVF / ICSI – When You Need Advanced Support
If previous methods do not yield results, or when factors such as blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, low egg reserve, or severe male infertility are involved, we may recommend IVF/ICSI—but only when it’s truly required.
    • IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization): In this process, mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a lab, with the resulting embryo transferred to your uterus.
    • ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection): For a higher chance of success, a single sperm is directly injected into an egg to achieve fertilization. Read More...
What’s the difference?
While IVF lets the sperm and egg interact naturally in a lab dish, ICSI gives the sperm a direct helping hand. Both are advanced, highly effective options—but used only when other methods are unlikely to succeed.

Supporting Advanced Techniques:

  1. Laser-Assisted Hatching:
Sometimes, the embryo’s outer shell (zona pellucida) may be too thick, making implantation difficult. In such cases, we can perform laser-assisted hatching to create a small opening in the embryo's outer layer, facilitating a stronger chance for successful implantation.
  2. Cryopreservation:
This technique freezes and stores reproductive cells or embryos for future use. At Maya IVF Clinic, we offer state-of-the-art cryopreservation services to freeze and store:
    • Eggs (oocytes) for women who want to preserve fertility.
    • Sperm for future family planning or medical reasons.
    • Embryos for use in later IVF cycles.
Cryopreservation allows you flexibility and can be particularly crucial for fertility preservation before cancer treatments or for individuals wishing to postpone parenthood.
At Maya IVF Clinic, we don’t rush into treatment. We listen, assess, and plan what’s best for YOU. Whether your solution is as simple as a lifestyle change or as advanced as IVF, our goal is clear: to help you conceive with care, confidence, and compassion.

Let’s walk this journey together—with the right treatment at the right time.
