Biography

Dr. Mira Thapa is an esteemed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in women's health, infertility treatment, and minimally invasive procedures. Her empathetic approach, outstanding clinical capabilities, and dedication to enhancing reproductive health have established her as one of the most reliable fertility specialists in Nepal. 

Dr. Thapa obtained her MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the prestigious Institute of Medicine at Tribhuvan University. To further refine her expertise, she pursued advanced fellowships in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and Laparoscopic Surgery at the well-regarded Ruby Hall IVF and Endoscopy Centre in Pune, India. Additionally, she holds a Fellowship in Cosmetic Gynecology from the American Aesthetic Association in the UAE, making her one of the few experts in Nepal to combine functional and aesthetic gynecological care. 

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Thapa has worked in numerous leading hospitals across Nepal, performing intricate gynecologic surgeries, handling emergency and labor cases, and providing comprehensive fertility treatments. Currently, she holds the position of Board Director and Consultant at Angel Fertility Clinic, Nepal International Fertility & Laparoscopic Centre, and Flora Gynae Aesthetics, where she integrates her advanced medical knowledge with compassionate patient care. 

Dr. Thapa is also an active researcher and has shared her findings at various national and international conferences, such as ESHRE, NESOG, and ISAR. Her significant research on IVF/ICSI outcomes and ethnic differences in labor patterns has been featured in esteemed medical journals. Her study comparing IVF/ICSI results in patients with PCOS versus those with tubal blockage garnered considerable attention at the 14th International NESOG Conference. 

She is a Life Member of the Fertility Society of Nepal (FESON), the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), and NESOG, and also a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
